No one who visits this blog more than once can fail to know how devoted  fans of the New Orleans Saints, my seester and I are.   This football team, quite literally, has been an integral part of our lives.  Our grandfather, was pretty much the central hub of our entire family, and probably the most influential man in my life who guided me to the adult I became.   Granddad loved football.   Granddad loved football and his grandchildren so dearly that he couldn’t wait to introduce us to the game.   He took me to my first pro-game in the Superdome when I was little.   I remember it was the 49ers / Saints; I remember Archie was playing; I remember my brother actually meeting Archie in the hotel lobby that weekend.

The Saints have been a part of my life for so long, it is as if they are a family member.   My sister and I get to share this love with each other, and it is really something I cherish.  I know that probably seems weird, “it’s just a game after all.”  But, the Saints are a team that is tied to a city that has so many memories from my childhood, too.

This year feels a little different to me.  It’s as if my sister and I are welcoming the rest of the Saints loving world into our mutual embrace.  We are sharing something special.

GROUP HUG!!!!

Great video, I hadn’t seen that. Your Grandfather sounds like a great man. I bet he’d be very proud of the wonderful blog you put together week in week out.

Big Saints hug back at ya!
    All the best
    Peter
